In 1999, the very next year Capricorn Food Products India Ltd. was born; it established its first Canning Processing Plant at Sathyavedu, Chittoor dist. and bagged major clients from the Middle East, Far East and Europe. The same year it started exporting Mango and Guava Puree in OTS cans.
Taking its time and space to grow, in the year 2003, an Aseptic packaging line was introduced for processing fruit Purees /Concentrates at Satyavedu. To cater to the growing clientele, the very next year Capricorn doubled the capacity of evaporators at Satyavedu, and for the same reason, a second Aseptic line was started in 2005.
In the year 2006, for the first time in South India, Capricorn introduced the concept of Ripening Chambers to ensure proper ripening of the fruits and higher yields. The following year, in its second plant in Satyavedu, Individual Quick Freezing and Bulk Freezing technology were introduced. To further facilitate its production of Alphonso Mango Pulp, Capricorn added an Aseptic line at Koyna Agro in Pune, Maharashtra.
In 2009, Capricorn built its new facility at Sri Kalahasti, Chittoor for an Aseptic line, and in the same year, in Sathyavedu, a new Triple effect evaporator of 8 MT/Hr of Mango concentrate was implemented. A new IQF facility was started in Jalandhar, Punjab, for manufacturing superior quality Frozen Green Peas, Frozen French Fries, Frozen vegetables, Frozen Cocktail snacks and Dehydrated Potato Flakes.
